- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (or your favorite mix-ins)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the heat-treated flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using a mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and milk to the creamed mixture and mix until incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips (or any desired mix-ins) with a spatula until evenly distributed.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap or transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
